The Gondwana series of dwarf tomato varieties were selected and bred by Patrina Nuske, Australia. The Gondwana dwarf tomato varieties were bred and developed by Patrina after Australia no longer allowed seed exchanges as part of an international project. There are 5 varieties of Dwarf Project Tomato of the Gondwana series, bred and stabilized by Patrina - Gondwana Moon, Gondwana Rose, Gondwana Lighting, Gondwana Lava, Gondwana Thunder.
Gondwana Lava has small round deep purple fruits covered with purple-black anthocianyn from sun exposure and green stripes. The fruits have delicious flavor with umami ( umami means "essence of pleasure" in Japanese, and its taste is often described as a juicy, salty delight that deepens the flavor) and a touch of sweetness. The plants are growing 1 - 1,2 m tall. Fruits weigh about 50- 70 gr. Great for pots or small gardens.
