Mid-early variety. Heirloom variety originating from India, named after the name of the village from which it originated.The fruits are pear-shaped, 8-10 cm long. The fruit skin is light green streaked with purple, ripening to golden-yellow with lavender stripes. Tender flesh with a delicious flavor. To be consumed before the white stripes turn yellow.
