Mid season. Plant high of 1,5 m, with regular leaf foliage. Very old Italian heirloom variety, from the village of Borgo Celano, region of Puglia, where it has been cultivated for 500 years! One of the oldest known tomato varieties. Small red fruits, oval plum shaped, with a nipple on the blossom end. Fruit weight of 50-80 gr. Clusters of 7-10 fruits. The fruits have a dense, strong pulp, with a classic, old tomato aroma. The fruits can be stored for a long time. Good for drying. High yielding.
