Description
A very old US heirloom variety first listed in 1885. A unique looking watermelon with a long history. Unusual blue-green mottled skin has a rough look like that of tree bark. Large round fruits with scarlet red flesh. Fruit weigh can reach 7-13 kg. The pulp is tender, juicy, with original sweet taste. Watermelon that 'holds' well, so can be stored or kept on the vine for a week or two extra.
